Megan’s passions for creating spaces, making art, seizing life and travel, showed early and often through a childhood penchant for rearranging her room, a strong interest in visual arts, and a fervent wanderlust.  Raised in New England, she fled suburban life for the big apple and majored in urban studies at Columbia College, relocated to San Francisco and started MVLD design studio.

Megan Van Linda Design specializes in creating visually stunning interiors and gardens that are sophisticated and elegant, yet imaginative and exuberant. Every design is highly personalized, and brings into harmony a client’s lifestyle, individual aesthetics, desired functionalities and site specifics to create resonant spaces to live, work and play.

PROJECTS

MLVD is a business born in New York City and now based in San Francisco. Our work experiences include projects throughout California, as well as projects in New York City, Washington DC, Montana, Martha’s Vineyard, New Mexico, and Hawaii.

Our designs always convey a sense of place and an aesthetic that is authentic to each client’s specific location, space and vision. Our most recent projects include a classic Georgetown garden laden with antique statuary and a Russian Hill Victorian with a minimalist Italian modern interior. MVLD regards exceptional design as a multifaceted collaboration throughout the project. 

PROCESS

In the initial phases, we work thoughtfully with clients to determine the vision and project goals. Once we begin design development and project management, we work closely with a network of architects, builders, vendors, tradesman, artists and other creatives, both locally and globally, to produce work that is focused on attention to detail, quality, and client service.
